Viewing the photo's

Do the photos sometimes appear too dark?  To view them at their best, you need to make sure your monitor is set properly.  Most of the pictures have a full scale tone, and to see this, you need to adjust the brightness and contrast controls on your monitor.

Your monitor is set correctly when you can distinctly see all the twenty-one shades in the grey scale above.  To achieve this adjust the brightness control until the black square on the left and the adjacent black square differ a little in brightness from each other.  Then set the contrast for a comfortable viewing  brightness with the right hand white square appearing as bright white.
